Step1: Design Your Piece First

Step 2: Cut Your Cord

Cut a piece of elastic cord.
Recommended length:
- Bracelet: ~20–25 cm
- Necklace: ~35–45 cm
Always cut a little longer than needed. Extra length makes tying knots much easier.

This is the most important step of making your chain. It creates a strong base that holds everything together.

Inside your kit, you’ll find two small metal findings (usually packed together in one of the little cubes):
- One looks like a tiny round metal bead (this is the crimp bead)
- The other looks like a small metal shell with a hole in the center that can close (this is the crimp cover)
We’re going to use these to create the starting knot of your chain.

First, thread the tiny metal bead (crimp bead) onto your cord.

Now thread the small metal “shell” (crimp cover) over the flattened crimp bead.

Gently close it using pliers so it wraps around the crimp and hides it.
This makes your jewellery look clean and professional.

Open a jump ring, thread it through the loop on the crimp cover, and attach your lobster clasp.
Close the jump ring securely.
Now you have a strong, professional foundation ready to hold all your beads.

You can simply thread the beads straight onto the cord.

We’ve included a soft metal needle in your kit. It’s made from two thin wires twisted together.
At the top, you can gently pinch the two ends to open it into an “O” shape.
