🔥 How to fire copper clay:

Copper clay is difficult to fire successfully on a home gas stove. Due to oxidation, the surface may turn dark or black when fired in open air.
Proper firing requires burying the piece in activated carbon and firing in a kiln at around 850°C for approximately 30-60 minutes.

🤔 Can I wear my copper ring?

Copper can be worn directly on the skin, but it may cause green discoloration due to oxidation. For this reason, copper jewellery is usually coated.
We recommend using copper clay as a practice material, rather than for finished jewellery intended for long-term wear.
